R v Hand and others
A high profile murder case involving multiple defendants and racial aggravation concerning the death of a local taxi driver in Huddersfield. The case was reported on national television.

R v Hassan and Nargis and 10 others
A VHCC (Very High Cost Case) involving a total of 12 defendants charged with various offences of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, concealing, disguising, converting and transferring criminal property, acquiring, using and possessing criminal property and money laundering. Both of our clients were acquitted of all charges at trial.

R v B and 11 others
12 hander VHCC (Very High Cost Case) where the defendants were charged with conspiracy to handle stolen goods and conspiracy to defraud insurance companies. Our client was acquitted of all charges against him at trial.

R v Iqbal
Represented a client from Birmingham in a high profile case concerning a charge of murdering his wife whom he discovered having an affair with a man from a different religious faith. The trial took place at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

R v Mohammed
Case involving a major public disorder involving more than 20 individuals from the local community in Halifax. The charges ranged from violent disorder to section 18 assault and intent to cause serious harm falling just short of attempted murder. Weapons ranged from knives to motor vehicles driven as weapons to cause injury. There were complicated issues as to what amounted to self defence in this serious violent disorder. The majority of the defendants pleaded guilty to various allegations against them. Our client pleaded not guilty and contested this matter to trial. Our client was acquitted of all charges against him.

R v Khan and others
Represented a client charged with murder and attempted murder with three others. Our client was acquitted of murder but found guilty of manslaughter. He was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment following a 7 week trial at Bradford Crown Court. His sentence was appealed which the Court of Appeal reduced to four years.

R v Iqbal
Represented a client with an outstanding reputation in his local community. He was charged with sexual offences against a child whilst swimming in a local public swimming pool. Our client strenuously maintained his innocence. He was acquitted following a trial at Bradford Crown Court. We pursued a specific successful defence strategy which ensured an acquittal. A conviction would have been disastrous for the defendant and his family.

R v Ahmed
An undercover police operation involving the supply of class A drugs contrary to section 4 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Our client was originally charged with 13 separate indictments which as a result of a successful defence strategy were reduced by the Crown Prosecution service to 2 counts to which our client pleaded guilty and received a community based penalty

R v Minott
Represented the defendant charged with 3 offences of rape. All of the indictments were contested at the Bradford Crown Court and as a result of a successful defence the Crown Prosecution Service withdrew all charges resulting in the defendant's immediate release from custody.

R v A
A major violent disorder involving a large group of Asian youths. Our client was acquitted of all charges.

R v Begum
Represented an Asian female of previous good character in a multi hander case concerning transfers of substantial amounts of money from major lending institutions by deception and falsification of documents. Our client was acquitted of all charges against her at trial.

R v Abbas
A multi hander complex sexual crime case involving rape, causing or inciting child prostitution and paying for sexual services of a child. Our client was convicted at trial. A major issue of law arose concerning the trial Judge's directions to the jury. The conviction was appealed and the Court of Appeal quashed the conviction which resulted in the immediate release of our client.

R v Bhatty
A multi hander money laundering case. Our client was charged with numerous counts of mortgage fraud. She was acquitted of all charges following a 6 week trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

R v Butt
Represented a client charged with Section 20 Wounding and child neglect resulting in major physical injuries to his child. The prosecution evidence concerned complex medical issues which were contested with several independent expert opinions obtained on behalf of the Defence. The prosecution was protracted over a period of four years and ultimately resulted with the Crown Prosecution Service withdrawing the Section 20 charge. Our client pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of child neglect and received a suspended sentence.

R v Brooks
Represented a client charged with rape. The client maintained his innocence and following a contested trial at the Bradford Crown Court he was acquitted by the Jury.

R v Stephen
Represented one of two defendants charged with murder. Case was high profile and reported in the local and national press.

R v Gaunt and one other
Represented two clients charged with assisting an offender who had committed n offence of murder and perverting the course of justice by assisting the murderer to flee the scene. Both of our clients were acquitted of all charges against them at trial.

R v Khan and others
"Operation Village" – A major complex undercover Police operation conducted over a period of two years involving the supply of class A drugs throughout Yorkshire by multiple defendants contrary to section 4 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

R v Khan
Represented a client charged with male rape. The Crown Prosecution Service discontinued all charges against him.

R v Ludlam
Represented a client charged with 10 separate counts of making and possessing indecent images of children. Our successful defence strategy resulted in all charges but one being discontinued to which our client pleaded guilty and received a conditional discharge.

R v Nassir
Our client was charged with an offence of s.18 wounding intending to cause grievous bodily harm. The case was contested to trial. He was acquitted by the Jury.

R v Yu and others
Represented one of 6 defendants in relation to charges of kidnap, blackmail involving the drugging, gagging and beating of a victim over several days with a ransom demand of $2 million dollars made in China. Inter Jurisdictional co-operation led to the arrest and detection of the perpetrators. The matter was listed for 6 week trial at Bradford Crown Court.
