Road Traffic Law

At AMAL Solicitors our solicitors have an extensive knowledge built up over many years which enable us to help clients being prosecuted for road traffic offences.

We represent clients on the most serious of road traffic matters and have specialist counsel and experts at our disposal in order that the client can be properly represented.

No evidence is accepted without challenge and our solicitors are experts at probing prosecution witnesses, including police officers for discrepancies in their evidence which undermine the case against our client.

We always endeavour to secure an acquittal where possible or if not a reduced penalty.

Police and Local Councils continue to pursue road users in numerous ways such as with the dreaded Speed Cameras, Speed Traps to name but a few. This results in the road user receiving penalty points and fines, in some cases leading to disqualification.

You should not accept this without first considering whether you have an accepted defence in law. That's where AMAL Solicitors can help.

Typical offences we deal with:

Failing to produce your license and/or insurance
Car Accident Driving a vehicle with no licence or insurance
Driving without due care and attention or careless driving
Defective tyres and/or brakes
Failing to stop after an accident
Failing to report an accident
Driving whilst not in proper control of the vehicle
Driving whilst disqualified
Dangerous driving
Drink driving
Driving whilst under the influence of drugs

We can also assist with "exceptional hardship" and "special reasons" applications to the Court which if accepted will mean that you keep your licence.
